Cookie Policy

SoMeFilm uses minimal storage on your device. We set only a strictly necessary cookie for signing in; we set no analytics or advertising cookies.

1. Cookies we set

refresh_token — HTTP-only, path /api/v1/auth. Keeps you signed in and enables sign-out. Strictly necessary; cannot be turned off. Contains no personal data readable by scripts. Removed when you log out or close your browser.

2. Local storage

Your browser's local storage holds your pending (not-yet-submitted) ratings queue, your chosen film filters, and your cookie-notice choice. These stay on your device; clearing your browser data removes them.

3. Third-party content

The recommendations page embeds YouTube trailers and poster images from TMDB's image CDN. Google/YouTube and TMDB may set their own cookies when your browser loads that content. Web fonts are served by Bunny Fonts, which sets no cookies in your browser. We do not control third-party cookies — manage them in your browser settings or see those providers' policies.

4. Your cookie choice

On your first visit you see a cookie notice. Accepting it records your preference (essential cookies accepted, with a timestamp) in local storage — our record of your consent. You can review this any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer, or clear it by removing your browser data.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking the refresh_token cookie means you cannot stay signed in.
